Rearviewed Article: The A-Team's GMC Vandura: Badass

It's safe to say that whoever visited this blog has heard of the A-Team. For those who haven't, then we assume that you've known about the 2010 film remake of the series. Now if you still haven't heard of it, then here's a little background-using the show's introduction.

"In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... THE A-TEAM."

Well, here's the thing. I was a fan of that series. Vehicle Paint Spray Gun - How to Use the Spray Gun to Paint Your Vehicle . In fact, I even watched the remake and I absolutely flipped out when I saw the A-Team's GMC Vandura in the spotlight. See, the 90s passed and the 21st century came without me ever hearing a word about that van since the show ended. And yes, I got all excited when B.A. Baracus' van came back.

See, for those who were fans of the series, the A-Team's GMC Vandura was a kickass pop culture icon. With its red stripe, black and red turbine mag wheels, the Vandura was as badass as the team that rode it. Heck, it even amazes me how much that team would spend on the Vandura for repairs. 09 honda accord safety ratings. After all, it's as bullet-proof, impact-proof, and even badguy-proof. All that action the Vandura endures in one episode and then it comes out spotless in the next? Badass, in the fictional sense.

Clinging with its fictional nature, however, I'd argue that the Vandura got its reputation due to the people who (again) rode it. See, the Batmobile (now the Tumbler) is cool since it's got gadgets and stuff, but the Vandura is just a van-and the gadgets that its got is kept to a minimum.

That said, it makes you wonder what makes vehicles "cool" in the first place. Is it the features, the gadgets, the Bluetooth mp3 player, and the turbocharger? Or is it the reputation that the vehicle brings to the table? Whatever the answer may be, it all boils down to one thing: you don't have to have a new car just so you'd look badass.
